This is a great article covering beer gardens and their place in the history of beer drinking. Instantly reminded me of why I enjoyed visiting Munich so much.

In Texas where I currently live our beer gardens are more often called “Ice Houses” having descended from businesses that originally sold ice and diversified into other products such as groceries and beer. They are a great piece of Americana and make for a great afternoon in the sun.
